Match Report

A step up in class saw KVV take on a well drilled Keyworth side. That said for the first 20 minutes there was nothing in it as both teams cancelled each other out. Then a long blade of grass saw the downfall of JPT with a badly twisted sock and a double slice of bad luck saw the impressive Skinner hobble off with a pulled groin at the same time. 5 minutes later saw an impressive Chris Daforne go off with severe lack of fitness.

All 3 subs fitted in well with Robbie T rolling back the years, Paul Hallam linking play well and young big Mark doing well on the right next to Young small Mark aka Gobshite. Jim Gardner had a impressive return complementing the old guard who all had solid games.

However, all the changes proved too much and Keyworth raced to a 4-0 half time lead. Fearing the match may get away from them Villa started the second half well and were arguably the better team in the final 25 minutes . Goals from Paul Hallam and big Mark more than matched Keyworth's only goal of the second half leading to a 5-2 final score.

All in all not a bad result with the injury to JPT being the only down side.
