Bogue Admits Guild Amid Fraud Investigation

James Bogue, chairman of Kinoulton Villa Vets Football Club, today came clean about his involvement in an attempt to defraud the hard working players at the club of tens of pounds as he tried to raise funds for a new set of golf clubs.

 

The much respected former coach has vowed to repay every penny and has even committed to making a charitable contribution.

Chairman To Wield The Axe?

Kinoulton Villa chairman, James Bogue, was not present as the struggling team limped to another defeat against newly promoted Wollaton. His absence triggered intense speculation about whether this could signal the end for head coach Jeff Haywood. Rumours that Bogue was meeting Haywood's potential replacement, Terry Linley were unconfirmed.

Despite declaring his requirement for only 2 additional players, Villa boss Jeff Haywood, had a busy end to the transfer window with the club eventually confirming 5 new signings.

 

With injuries mounting and retirements threatening, Haywood was forced to request additional funds from the chairman to secure extra back up for his talented squad.

Chairman Takes Control!

The future of KVV manager, Jeff Haywood, was shrouded in mystery today when it was revealed that the club chairman, James Bogue had proceeded with a new signing without the knowledge of the head coach.

 

Haywood had previously stated his intent to sign at least 2 new players prior to the start of the new season. However, with rumours of just one signing to date and no-one else in the pipe line, it is thought the Chairman has been spurred into action.

 

Bogue is thought to be extremely disappointed that his manager chose to take a holiday so close to the new season and without having concluded his transfer activity.

 

Showdown talks are expected upon Haywood's return from Las Vegas.

Manager Announces New Signing!

KVV boss Jeff Haywood today announced securing the signature of a new player, saying:

 

"I was disappointed that the proposed signing of Pete Raynor, the manager of Whatton Prison, did not come to fruition but personal terms could not be agreed. However, this new player is top quality and will fit straight into the midfield and will be competing for regular starts. We already have good competion for midfield places but this player will be at the very top of the list."

 

Jeff refused to identify the player until all the paperwork has been completed

Boss Needs 2 More Players!

Villa boss, Jeff Haywood, today appealed to his board to support him with the addition of 2 new players. Despite a successful last season, Haywood is not being complacent "we still need to recruit 2 new players who will add something positive to the squad" claimed the manager adding "the very good news is that no one has indicated that they are not signing on this year."

 

A spokesman for the club has suggested the club are currently looking at 2 trialists with a view to signing them up but that Haywood has yet to be impressed by what they can offer.

Portugal Tour Hailed a Success!

This year's pre-season tour was approached with some apprehension by some players. With a new venue and a smaller squad due to selected players being called up for World Cup Duty and some senior players such as Colin Elliott remaining in the UK, it was feared the trip may lack some organisation and flair.

 

However, after a rigourous 3 days in soaring temperatures, the team arrived home jaded but in good spirits. They also found time for a round of golf and even a spot of surfing!

 

Influential midfielder Rob Thomas also revealed how the team had brainstormed a blueprint for the future of Kinoulton Villa whilst in Portugal.
